The following behaviors may be observed when 

eye health needs to be checked:

• holding reading material a little too close

• confuses letters and/or words

• reads slowly

• frequent eye rubbing

• poor reading comprehension

• covering or closing one eye

• tires easily

• short attention span

• sits/stands closely to TV

• poor general coordination
